Dr. Edward MacDonald, CM, an award-winning professor of history at 69传媒and Island historian, will give his 鈥渓ast lecture鈥� to students in UPEI鈥檚 University 100 program on Wednesday, March 13, at 4:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Room 117. The lecture is open to the public.

The Internet has facilitated the creation of an Alt-Right movement that includes Catholics. This Research on Tap talk explores the ways in which such groups understand and use Catholicism (and the Internet) to attract followers to extremist and white supremacist movements.

Join us on Saturday, March 16, for a private Forbidden Vancouver walking tour of the Gastown neighbourhood, and hear tales of mobsters and bootlegging that might even rival some of PEI鈥檚 best-known rum-running folk tales. (Remember the Dark Ride at Rainbow Valley?)

Our private tour will begin outside the Monaco Caf茅 at 356 Water Street when the steam clock strikes 6:00 pm. We鈥檒l wind our way through the historic streets and back alleys of Gastown as dusk settles and the fabled street lanterns shine bright.
