Our Mawi'omi Indigenous Student Centre and Campus Life Program are honoured to host this special event for faculty, staff, and students. The talented filmmaker and storyteller, Red Buffalo Nova, will join us on Zoom for a storytelling event tonight, February 17, at 7:00 pm. Red Buffalo Nova is an Ojibwe Two-Spirit artist, filmmaker, and storyteller. Listen and learn about his work and life story as he combines sound and storytelling as a means of understanding Indigenous identity. We are so excited to have them share their story with us. 2023 Canada Games Spirit Day is a COVID-19 friendly initiative that will help build excitement and kick off celebrations to mark the one-year countdown to the official opening ceremony of the 2023 Canada Winter Games.
Join in online on February 17 as enthusiasm for hosting the very best in Canadian sports starts to build. There are many different ways to participate:
- Photo Contest: wear green or blue鈥攖he official colours of the 2023 Canada Games 鈥� post a photo and tag us online to win prizes
- Mascot Activity Sheets: children can get creative with the latest colouring sheets available for download on our website
- Businesses and community centres are encouraged to decorate storefront windows and light up buildings in green and blue
- Purchase official merchandise
- Reminisce about the last time PEI hosted the Canada Winter Games, and dig out your vintage 1991 jackets!
Help spread the word by sharing social media posts and/or using the graphics included in the .
Participants are encouraged to share photos of their 2023 Canada Games spirit on social media for a chance to win one of five $250 Canada Games gift cards, or the grand prize opportunity to become an official torchbearer in the upcoming Torch Relay. Microsoft have made 鈥淰isio for the Web鈥� available for all M365 paid subscribers. Visio is a great tool if you use diagrams or graphics in your work or presentations.
This web product is not as fully featured as the full desktop client (which requires additional licensing) but does allow you to create and save diagrams, access templates, etc.

As part of the new residence building construction project, we will be required to have a power shutdown for the Atlantic Veterinary College, Blanchard Hall, Bernardine Hall, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Memorial Hall, Cass Science Hall, Duffy Science Centre, and the Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre. This power shutdown is necessary to bring permanent power to the new building.
This shutdown is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15, 2022, beginning at 5:00 am and is expected to take approximately 1 hour to complete. The emergency power generators will be started for each building prior to the beginning of the power interruption, which means that there will be no delay of power for anything currently on emergency power when the power is disconnected.
