SEASON PREVIEW: 69传媒Cross Country looking forward to a great 2023

UPEI鈥檚 Cross Country program has taken massive strides in recent years, including earning all-star selections in back-to-back seasons and welcoming runners from across the conference for their first turn as hosts of the AUS Championships.

It鈥檚 a lot to be proud of, but the team is looking to accomplish even more in 2023.

鈥淲e鈥檙e looking for more consistency from our runners this season,鈥 said Panthers head coach Mike Peterson. 鈥淪uccess in our sport comes from stacking weeks, months, and years together until you are consistently relevant. That鈥檚 what we鈥檙e after.鈥

Atlantic Veterinary College performs great white shark necropsy for first time

Dr. Megan Jones, of the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), couldn鈥檛 believe she had a great white shark on her post-mortem table, prepped for a necropsy鈥攖he first white shark to be necropsied at AVC.

Discovered on Greenwich Beach on the north shore of Prince Edward Island on August 7, the shark weighed almost 500 pounds and measured close to nine feet.

SEASON PREVIEW: Looking for more: Women鈥檚 Rugby Panthers prepared to defend championship title in 2023

As the start of the new rugby season nears, the 69传媒Women鈥檚 Rugby Panthers are focused and determined to defend the AUS championship title they captured last season.

Ever since they carried that banner back to UPEI, the Panthers have embraced their championship identity, and now they鈥檙e hungry for more and are on a mission to preserve their reign on top.

鈥淲e are going to keep the ball rolling and do what we know best: to give our all,鈥 said AUS all-star and U SPORTS all-Canadian Emily Duffy.
