On Thursday, May 11, six student teams pitched their business concepts for a share of $50,000 in prize money from the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program during the 69传媒Panther Pitch Competition. The competition for entrepreneurial undergraduate students is coordinated each year by UPEI鈥檚 Experiential Education Department.

The Honourable Graydon Nicholas, a highly respected Wolastoqey Elder, lawyer, judge, social worker, and activist, will give a presentation titled 鈥淚nculturation in the Indigenous Context and Catholic Church鈥 on Thursday, May 25, at 10 am, in Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Room 242, 69传媒.

Prince Edward Island author Deirdre Kessler will launch a new children鈥檚 chapter book, Adventures of an Island cat named BRUPP, on Sunday, May 21, at 2 pm, in the Carriage House, Beaconsfield, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Dr. Laurie Brinklow, an assistant professor of Island Studies at UPEI, will give a seminar titled 鈥淭he Bridge Effect: A Case Study of Prince Edward Island, Canada, with some implications for Gozo鈥 on May 24, from 11:30 am to 1 pm ADT.
