The 69传媒Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers are pleased to announce that Karla Benitez will make her debut as a member of their team this fall.

The 69传媒鈥檚 four-year doctor of psychology (PsyD) in clinical psychology program has been granted accreditation for a three-year term by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).

The excitement and pride were palpable at the 69传媒 this past week when the Class of 2023 graduated with their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The 69传媒Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers are excited to welcome Mermaid, PEI, native and defenceman Cole Larkin to their team for the 2023鈥�24 season.

On Thursday, May 11, six student teams pitched their business concepts for a share of $50,000 in prize money from the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program during the 69传媒Panther Pitch Competition. The competition for entrepreneurial undergraduate students is coordinated each year by UPEI鈥檚 Experiential Education Department. 

The Honourable Graydon Nicholas, a highly respected Wolastoqey Elder, lawyer, judge, social worker, and activist, will give a presentation titled 鈥淚nculturation in the Indigenous Context and Catholic Church鈥� on Thursday, May 25, at 10 am, in Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Room 242, 69传媒. 

Reilly Sullivan, a fourth-year biology student and varsity athlete at the 69传媒, has been awarded a by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE). 

Prince Edward Island author Deirdre Kessler will launch a new children鈥檚 chapter book, Adventures of an Island cat named BRUPP, on Sunday, May 21, at 2 pm, in the Carriage House, Beaconsfield, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Dr. Laurie Brinklow, an assistant professor of Island Studies at UPEI, will give a seminar titled 鈥淭he Bridge Effect: A Case Study of Prince Edward Island, Canada, with some implications for Gozo鈥� on May 24, from 11:30 am to 1 pm ADT.

Patients as people first, 3D-printed spinal surgical drill guides, ant-inspired robots, PEI鈥檚 retention of international graduates, and patient-reported experience measures for IBD were the focus of complex thesis research presentations delivered in three minutes or less by 69传媒graduate students to a riveted audience on April 25.
