We have great news! The English Corner is for you! We provide language support and practice for any EAL student at UPEI. No appointment is needed; just drop in with your questions. We鈥檙e in the Robertson Library, Room 213, from 9 am to 12 pm on Thursdays. 
 

69传媒Wind Symphony presents "Flashes and Apparitions"

On November 30 at 7:30 pm, the 69传媒Wind Symphony will have its inaugural performance in the new Performing Arts Centre at the 69传媒Campus.

The performance, entitled 鈥淔lashes and Apparitions鈥�, will be led by conductors Nicole Strum and Dale Sorensen. The performance will feature works by Pulitzer Prize winner Augusta Read Thomas, Irish composer Amanda Feery, Juno award-winning Canadian composer Jordan Nobles, and the Atlantic Canadian premiere of Nerve and Verve by PEI鈥檚 own Evan Hammell.

2024 FSDE Engineering Competition

The Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering is hosting a qualifier competition for our engineering students on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The whole-day competition also features two categories for PEI high school students and is open to the public from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Guided tours of the building are available from our student ambassadors.

CPA Information Session

These information sessions are a great way to learn more detailed information about the entrance requirements, our preparatory courses, CPA PEP, and work experience requirements. We'll be at Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Room 248 on November 29 from 2 to 3 pm. 

AVC student earns national bovine health scholarship

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 69传媒 congratulates Casey Whitehouse, a third-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) student, on receiving a 2023 Merck Animal Health Bovine Scholarship.

The scholarships were awarded at the 2023 American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) annual conference, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in September. Whitehouse was among the 18 winners who each received $5,000. While she was not at the conference to receive the award in person, she is humbled to receive this accolade.

AVC鈥檚 Dr. Ian Dohoo receives his Order of Canada medal after waiting four years

In the words of Dr. Ian Dohoo, professor emeritus of epidemiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 鈥渋t鈥檚 better late than never.鈥�

In 2019, Dr. Dohoo was notified that he was appointed a member to the Order of Canada. He bought a suit and picked out a tie to wear to the ceremony, but then life and a global pandemic put the celebrations on hold.
