MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program鈥檚 Panther Pitch 2024 is set to launch January 24
69传媒students are invited to the launch of the MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program鈥檚 鈥淧anther Pitch 2024鈥� on January 24 from 6:00鈥�9:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall.
The MacLauchlan Panther Pitch at 69传媒is supported by the 69传媒Experiential Education department and is part of the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program, which is dedicated to the development of students who have an entrepreneurial outlook and will potentially create and lead new business ventures on Prince Edward Island.
Faculty of Business Career Day
The 69传媒Faculty of Business, in partnership with Experiential Education, will be hosting its 2024 Career Day on January 25, 2024. From 2:00--4:00 pm, local employers and associations will have tables set up in Don and Marion McDougall Hall to provide students with information about opportunities and services. From 4:00--6:00 pm, a networking mixer will be held in Schurman Market Square with snacks, light refreshments, and a cash bar.
Come prepared to put your best foot forward and make connections that can help you reach your goals!

69传媒Experiential Education is accepting applications for its International Student Employment Support Program until March 1, 2024. If you are looking for more information about this program or have questions you'd like to have answered, join us for an online information session on January 26 from 11:30 am--12:30 pm.

2024 MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program's Panther Pitch Launch
Join us at the launch event on Wednesday, January 24, from 6:00鈥�9:00 pm, where current 69传媒students can connect with past Panther Pitch participants, members of the PEI startup ecosystem, and the MacLauchlan family.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your professional network and learn more about the MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program's Panther Pitch competition. This year, a total of $62,000 in prize money will be awarded to students! Food will be provided.

Bianca Boutilier and Kaleb Pearson named 69传媒Panther Athletes of the Week
Every week, 69传媒Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 69传媒Panther Athletes of the Week for January 8鈥�14, 2024, are Bianca Boutilier (women鈥檚 track and field) and Kaleb Pearson (men鈥檚 hockey).
Boutilier is a business student from Charlottetown, PEI. The third-year sprinter ran a personal best in the 60-metre dash on January 13 at the Moncton Open. She crossed the finish line in 8.03 seconds, which is second best in the AUS so far this season.
Island author launches new book
Deirdre Kessler, a well-known Island author and longtime sessional instructor at UPEI, will launch a new book, Darwin鈥檚 Hornpipe, on Thursday, January 18, at 7:00 pm, at The Gallery Caf茅, Great George Street, Charlottetown.
Kessler will do a short reading from the book, and fiddler Roy Johnstone will play a few hornpipes. All are welcome to attend.
Department of Music Faculty Recital celebrates International Women's Day
Trombone, She Wrote: Music by Canadian Women Composers
Experience the expressive side of the trombone from a Canadian perspective, with works by Jocelyn Morlock, F. Jane Naylor, Hope Salmonson, Barbara York, and the premiere of a work for trombone and loop station by Monica Pearce. The recital features Dale Sorensen, trombone and euphonium, with Magdalena von Eccher, piano.
