"Raised Expectations" Fundraising Dinner and Celebration

President Wade MacLauchlan will complete 12 years of service as president of 69传媒at the end of June. To celebrate our University's accomplishments under his outstanding leadership, a special event is taking place on June 10, beginning at 6:00 pm, in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. The 鈥淩aised Expectations鈥 Fundraising Dinner and Celebration will be a wonderful opportunity for our faculty, staff, students, friends and families to share more than a decade of 69传媒memories. The evening will include a reception and buffet dinner, a fundraising auction, "raise the roof" entertainment by Island musicians, and a dance. Proceeds from the evening will support the creation of the H. Wade MacLauchlan Raised Expectations Awards. They will be presented to selected PEI students entering 69传媒who have shown the greatest academic improvement in their high school years. Faculty Recognition Night

Faculty Recognition Night will be held Thursday, April 28, beginning at 7:00 pm (reception: 6:30 pm) at the Stanhope Beach Resort & Conference Centre. Tickets are $50.00 each (with a subsidized price of $25.00 for FA members and their guests), and can be pre-ordered at the Faculty Association Office, Main Bldg., Room 315, Ext. 0438.

Spotlight on Student Engagement Series - Sharon MacLeod

The fourth presentation in the Spotlight on Student Engagement Series will take place on Tuesday, April 5, 2:30 to 3:30 pm in AVC Lecture Theatre A. The guest speaker will be Sharon MacLeod, brand-building director of Unilever Canada. In her presentation entitled, "The Way a Woman Leads", Sharon will share how Dove challenged conventions with the Campaign for Real Beauty and helps girls reach their full potential through the Dove self-esteem fund. Blood Donor Clinic - March 31

A blood donor clinic will be held in the Chi-Wan Young Sport Centre on Thursday, March 31 from 11 am until 3 pm. Our goal is 100 donations but there are still appointment slots open. Appointments may be made by calling 1 888 2 DONATE. The 69传媒Community is well known for its support of this worthy cause.
