Dear Members of the University Community,

Although we are still in the midst of the winter semester, Spring is around the corner, and we are looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2022. It is with great enthusiasm that I announce that we are proceeding with plans to host the four days of Convocation 2022 ceremonies in May in person, subject to PEI Chief Public Health Office protocols in place at the time.

The COVID-19 pandemic and Omicron situation on PEI remains a very fluid one, and the University has been reviewing and assessing measures and protocols to ensure we are aligned with the PEI Chief Public Health Office.

Earlier today 69´«Ã½participated in a virtual meeting with Dr. Heather Morrison and representatives from the PEI Chief Public Health Office, as well as Holland College and Collège de l’Île, to discuss updated, temporary public health guidance that goes into effect immediately for post-secondary education on PEI.

Important Update on the 2022 Winter Academic Semester

Despite a safe fall semester, due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the region and the arrival of the highly transmissible Omicron variant to PEI, 69´«Ã½is making some important health and safety changes as we near the holiday break and approach the 2022 Winter Academic Semester.

Proof of vaccination now required as part of 69´«Ã½COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
