69传媒is a proud partner with the Universit茅 Sainte-Anne鈥檚 Canada Research Chair in Acadian and Francophone Studies (Chaire de recherche du Canada en 茅tudes acadiennes et francophones), the Research Institute on Acadian and Francophone Culture in the Contemporary World (Institut de recherche sur les cultures acadiennes et francophones dans le monde contemporain), the Department of French Studies (D茅partement d'茅tudes fran莽aises), the Atlantic Consulat G茅n茅ral de France, the Halifax Alliance fran莽aise, and Mount Allison University to present the conference, 鈥淢edia and political discourses in the French-speaking world: a look at 鈥榳ords of order鈥欌 (Discours m茅diatiques et politiques en francophonie : un regard sur les 芦mots d'ordre禄).

Anne Simpson, national award-winning novelist and poet, will read from her new novel and poetry collection on Thursday, October 28, at 7:30 pm in The Carriage House at Beaconsfield Historic House, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Today, the Honourable Dennis King, Premier of Prince Edward Island, and Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz, President and Vice-Chancellor of the 69传媒, announced the expansion of the Faculty of Nursing and 69传媒Health and Wellness Centre, as well as the establishment of a new Faculty of Medicine at UPEI.

It鈥檚 home-opener weekend for 69传媒Women鈥檚 and Men鈥檚 Hockey! 69传媒Women鈥檚 Rugby is also looking to improve its 2鈥2 season record with a home game on MacAdam Field in 69传媒Alumni Canada Games Place.

After providing health care to students at the 69传媒 for the past 30 years, Dr. David Reid has retired from the 69传媒Health and Wellness Centre. Dr. Reid began practising at the health centre at 69传媒in 1991, making him one of the longest serving doctors on the campus.

The last time we saw the UPEI鈥檚 women鈥檚 hockey team, they were among the best teams in the country getting ready to battle for a national medal following a thrilling and emotional playoff run.
