The Atlantic Veterinary College, 69传媒, has been awarded $29,400 by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) for a project entitled 鈥淵outh Engagement in Veterinary Medicine: A Model to Enhance Indigenous Youth Connection to STEM.鈥

Congratulations to Dr. Frederick Kibenge, chair of the Department of Pathology and Microbiology at AVC, on the publication of his second book, Aquaculture Health Management: Design and Operation Approaches. The book is co-edited by Dr. Mark Powell, CEO of Marineholmen RASLab AS and adjunct professor of fish pathology with the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Bergen, Norway.

Anastasiya Missan, AVC Class of 2022, won first prize in the American Veterinary Medical History Society鈥檚 2020 Fred Smithcors Veterinary History Essay Contest for her essay, 鈥淭he Un-BEE-lievable History of Beekeeping.鈥

After an outstanding season leading the 69传媒women鈥檚 basketball team to an AUS Championship and a U SPORTS bronze medal, Jenna Mae Ellsworth is up for yet another honour.

69传媒 President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz issued a statement today on the passing of Saint Dunstan鈥檚 University alumnus and UPEI鈥檚 first Roman Catholic chaplain, the Reverend Gerard 鈥淕erry鈥 Tingley. Father Tingley passed away at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre in Charlottetown on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
