As part of the new building construction project that will house the 69传媒Faculty of Medicine, patient medical home, Psychology Training Clinic, Adult ADHD Clinic, and interprofessional health simulation and clinical training centre, the access road (also known as Alumni Road) from the intersection of University Avenue and Enman Crescent to the intersection of the campus perimeter road and the sports fields will be closed from June 23 to August 14. This closure is necessary to allow contractors to safely install new underground services and add road access to the new facility.  

Facilities Management apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we proceed with this exciting project that will enhance the campus. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jackie MacPhail at jmacphail@upei.ca or 902-566-6034.

The next deadline for submitting biosafety applications, including new applications, renewals, and/or amendments, is Friday, June 30, 2023. These applications will be reviewed at the July 20 meeting.

All research compliance applications, including biosafety application forms, must be submitted through the UPEI  Researcher Portal. Information about the Researcher Portal, including instructions for using the site, is available at /research-services/forms.

Students, staff, faculty, and community members are invited to join UPEI's Experiential Education and Mawi'omi Indigenous Student Centre for an afternoon of gardening to establish this year's Chaplaincy Centre garden on Wednesday, June 28, from noon to 4:00 pm. Fill in to sign up.

On Wednesday, June 28, ITSS will conduct routine maintenance on the my69传媒portal and related services from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. During this time, there may be intermittent access to and performance issues with MyUPEI, Self-Service, and Colleague.

We encourage students, faculty, and staff who may need documents or links located on my69传媒to plan ahead and bookmark or download the resources they may need during this period.

The Atlantic Indigenous Mentorship Network (Atlantic-IMN) has announced the launch of another round of its Promise Scholarship program funded by the and Dalhousie University. 

The Atlantic-IMN Promise Scholarship program is for Indigenous high school students who will be graduating from high school in 2023 and who are applying to attend a health-related program at a post-secondary institution for the next school year (Fall 2023 or Winter 2024).

The value of the Promise Scholarship award is between $1,500 and $2,000: 

  • A portion of funds ($500) will be awarded to successful applicants when they officially accept an offer of admission to a health-related program for the following school year (2023/2024). 
  • The remaining funds will be awarded when the student officially begins their PSE program (in Fall 2023 or Winter 2024).
