The 69传媒鈥檚 President and Vice-Chancellor is the chief executive officer, responsible to the Board of Governors and to the Senate to lead UPEI鈥檚 academic mission and administrative operations. The President works with the senior executive team to provide leadership to the University.
The 69传媒 Board of Governors announced the appointment of Dr. Wendy Rodgers as UPEI鈥檚 seventh President and Vice-Chancellor on May 6, 2024, marking the end of a 12-month presidential search process. Dr. Rodgers began her five-year term on June 1, 2024.

69传媒Board of Governors Chair Shannon MacDonald and President and Vice-Chancellor Wendy Rodgers issued a joint message to the campus community announcing that the implementation plans for Year 0 and Year 1 for the 69传媒Action Plan are available on upei.ca.
In follow up to two recent campus town halls, President Rodgers sent a message to the 69传媒community outlining the themes that emerged from the events.
