The Asian Studies (AST) Programme, Faculty of Arts, 69´«Ã½invites applications for a sessional instructor position during the spring 2024 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary and administrative approval.

Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.

AST 2090 – Education in Korea and Canada: Pedagogies and Cultural Contexts (Online)

This course explores educational systems and pedagogical approaches in Korea and Canada, highlighting the influence of cultural contexts on teaching and learning practices. Students will engage in comparative analysis to understand the unique educational philosophies and strategies that are used in both countries.

Course is offered: May 6–June 13, 2024

Qualifications: 

A doctoral or master’s degree with undergraduate and/or graduate training in Education. Applications with teaching experience in similar or related courses on Korean culture and education are preferred. Qualified candidates should be very familiar with the traditions and contemporary developments of educational system and ideas in Korea and Canada. 

Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the 69´«Ã½Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.
