The Faculty of Arts is pleased to present its new "ConneXions" Seminar Series, which aims to foster understanding of the role that the liberal arts play in knowledge and ways of knowing and in making sense of the complexities of the world around us through panel discussions; speakers and research talks; collaborative projects and presentations; symposia and workshops; and reading and discussion groups.

Join us on Zoom, where we will bring together events under the name "ConneXions" that highlight the intersections of humanities, social sciences, and creative and performing arts and invite us all to engage in the collective project of (re)imagining our worlds. Our goal is also to expand understanding of where we are and how we might address our most pressing social problems, and to develop new knowledge necessary for the world today. We recognize that what and how we know the world is always multiple and contextual, and that there are many different ways to disseminate this knowledge. As such, we look forward to broadening ConneXions with many others both inside and outside of the university.

In this first seminar of the series on January 29, 2021 at 1 pm, Dr. Justin Kakeu, Assistant Professor, Economics, will explore "Global Inequality and Transboundary Pollution".
