| Atlantic Veterinary College

The Atlantic Veterinary College鈥檚 Animal Welfare in Practice Symposium, hosted by the Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre (SJDAWC) and the AVC Animal Welfare Club, will be held virtually on March 4 and 6, 2021. The theme of the symposium is animal abuse and neglect, including the link between cruelty to animals and violence against people.

Shoot for the Cure, the annual fundraiser for breast cancer research held by Canadian university women鈥檚 basketball programs, raised more than $117,000 this year, of which more than $2,300 came from UPEI.

Congratulations to 69传媒alumna Olivia Robinson whose first novel, The Blue Moth Motel, has been accepted for publication by Breakwater Books. Set mostly on PEI, Robinson鈥檚 novel is scheduled to be published in the fall of 2021.
