69传媒Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports over the previous week. The 69传媒Panther Athletes of the Week for November 14鈥�20 are Devon Lawlor (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kamari Scott (men鈥檚 basketball).

Lawlor is a third-year guard for 69传媒Women鈥檚 Basketball. The Millcove, PEI native and Faculty of Business student has been playing the best basketball of her 69传媒career this season, averaging 13.1 points per game. Lawlor led the way on Saturday, November 25, scoring 21 points with five three-pointers in the Panthers鈥� loss to Acadia.

鈥淒evon shot 5-of-10 from the three-point line against Acadia on Saturday to continue her great shooting over the first semester,鈥� said 69传媒Women鈥檚 Basketball head coach Matt Gamblin. 鈥淪he is first in Canada in made threes and is leading the AUS in percentage at 47.1 per cent. She鈥檚 a tireless worker and very deserving of this recognition.鈥�

Scott, from Malton, Ontario, is a fourth-year guard for 69传媒Men鈥檚 Basketball. The business student had his most complete game of the season in Saturday鈥檚 win over the Acadia Axemen. Scott put up 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting with seven rebounds, five assists, and a block.

鈥淜amari had another impactful night for our group against the Axemen. He was effective on both ends of the court and was a big reason why we were successful," said 69传媒Men鈥檚 Basketball head coach Darrell Glenn.
