Every week, 69传媒Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 69传媒Panther Athletes of the Week for October 30鈥揘ovember 5 are Aiden Rainford (women鈥檚 basketball) and Jace Colley (men鈥檚 basketball).

Rainford is a fifth-year forward and arts student from Toronto, Ontario. She was a force inside and delivered strong performances on both ends of the floor, leading the Panthers to a weekend sweep over the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women at home on November 3 and 4. In the two wins, Rainford averaged 17.5 points on 66.7 per cent shooting with 12.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 3.5 steals.

鈥淎iden had her best weekend to date in the green and white. She contributed in every way on both ends and carried us to a win on Saturday,鈥� said head coach Matt Gamblin.

69传媒men鈥檚 basketball forward Jace Colley, from East Preston, Nova Scotia, is a fifth-year business student. After the Panthers lost against a tough St. Francis Xavier squad on November 3, Colley recorded a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds to propel the team to win the following night. In the two games, Colley averaged 21.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks.

鈥淛ace had a great weekend and helped us earn a big win against St. FX,鈥� said head coach Darrell Glenn. 鈥淗e has made us better with his athleticism and vast array of offensive skills.鈥�
