69传媒Fencing Club member Spencer McGregor had a successful weekend at the UNB Shield tournament in Fredericton, March 12-13. Spencer won a bronze medal in Senior Mixed 脡p茅e and captured a silver medal in University 脡p茅e. Tournament organizers stated that this year's Shield was the largest ever, with 94 registrations total across eleven events. This was the first time that the annual tournament included university events as part of the Atlantic University Fencing Circuit, which began in 2015 to encourage competition among university fencers.

Spencer is a Kinesiology student and also serves as President of the PEI Fencing Association.
