Second candidate presentation for tenure-track faculty position

The Department of Companion Animals will be interviewing three (3) candidates for the open, tenure-track faculty position in anesthesia.  The second candidate, Dr. Daniel Pang, will be on campus next week, Monday, August 24th & Tuesday, August 25th.  He obtained his veterinary degree in 2000 at the University of Bristol; completed a small animal internship at the University of Glasgow in 2002 and finished a combined residency-MSc program in veterinary anesthesia at the University of Montreal in 2006.  In 2011 he received a PhD in anesthetic mechanisms from the Imperial College, London.  Dr. Pang is board-certified by both the ECVAA & the ACVAA and joined the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary in 2010.
 
As part of the interview process, each candidate has been asked to present a 50-minute lecture suitable for 3rd year DVM students.  Any interested faculty / staff / students are invited to attend.  A copy of Dr. Pang’s CV and letter of application will be available from Laurel Fisher (fisher@upei.ca) in the Department of Companion Animals.
