As part of the 69传媒Music Department Recital Series, cellist, and Prince Edward Island native, Julia MacLaine returns home to PEI to present 鈥淔airy Tales and Fantasy鈥� on Sunday, January 11 at 2:30 pm in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall on the 69传媒Campus. Julia will be accompanied by pianist Jean Desmarais in a program of music that is fanciful, mystical, and at times dreamy and very colourful. The recital will include three pieces by Webern, the Fantasy Pieces by Schumann, Fairy Tale or "Pohadka" by Janacek (featured in the film "The Unbearable Lightness of Being鈥�), and sonatas for cello and piano by Debussy and Prokofiev.
