This presentation will introduce attendees to the story behind the Centre that is now celebrating its golden jubilee this year. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Box Office at the Confederation Centre, More information on the presentation: Fifty years ago this year, in 1964, on the 100th anniversary of the historic Charlottetown Conference, the Fathers of Confederation Memorial Buildings were opened in Charlottetown as a living memorial to Confederation's founders. The arts complex cost $5.6 million, and was cost-shared on a per capita basis by the federal government of Canada and the Dominion's ten provinces.
