69传媒health researchers seeking participants with cancer for exercise training program
Researchers from UPEI鈥檚 Active Living Lab are seeking people with cancer, or who have previously had cancer, to participate in a twice-weekly, 12-week exercise program.
鈥淓xercise has tremendous physical and mental health benefits for cancer patients and survivors,鈥� said Dr. Travis Saunders, professor and acting chair, 69传媒Department of Applied Human Sciences. 鈥淲e are very excited to be offering this program at 69传媒this fall.鈥�
69传媒Vice-President Academic and Research receives international award
Dr. Greg Naterer, Vice-President, Academic and Research, at UPEI, recently received an international award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

What brought you to UPEI? Why did you choose to study here?
I've wanted to be a veterinarian since I was little and never considered another career path. I have always wanted to attend AVC, but now that I am married and have children, I need to stay local as we have a farm in Nova Scotia, and relocating wasn't a practical option. I stay in PEI during the week and drive home to Martock each weekend to be with my husband and our three children, and that wouldn't be possible anywhere else.

Living expenses in Canada for international students vary from city to city and depending on where the school is located. This session will mainly focus on the cost of living in PEI. We will cover the expenses in terms of study, utility, rent, and so on just to give you an idea of how much you should be expected to spend in daily life with a realistic budget. The 69传媒 has teamed up with the Chief Public Health Office (CPHO) of PEI to provide 69传媒students and any member of the University community at risk of experiencing or witnessing a drug-related overdose with free Naloxone kits through the provincial .

What brought you to UPEI? Why did you choose to study here?
I'm from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; it's a dynamic city renowned for its lively atmosphere and a plethora of offerings, including diversity in people, cuisine, and infrastructure. What drew me to 69传媒was the MBA in Global Leadership's objective of developing skills tailored to navigate the dynamic international business landscape. 69传媒hosts interdisciplinary music research forum on August 8
鈥淢usic and the Mind Maritimes: Access to Music Education,鈥� a 69传媒student and faculty interdisciplinary music research forum, will take place on Thursday, August 8, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Bill and Denise Andrew Hall, Room 142. There will be a related evening concert in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall at 7:00 pm with a variety of performances.
