There are some additional plumbing repairs needed in the washrooms of Don and Marion McDougall Hall, south end of the building only. In order to do these repairs we need to shutdown the domestic hot and cold water for the south end of the building (this would be the former Marion Hall portion of the building) on Friday, December 2nd beginning at 5:00 pm. The shutdown is expected to last approximately 2 hours. The washrooms near the elevator on the 2nd and 3rd floor are not effected and will remain open.

Tuition Waiver forms for the Winter 2017 semester must be submitted to Human Resources by no later than December 13, 2016. When completing the form, please include all of the required information (Course name, time, start and end date, cost and the number of semester hours) to avoid any delays in processing the waiver. From November 1 until April 30, winter restrictions on overnight campus parking will be enforced. Parking Lot "A" is the only lot where overnight parking is permitted for the winter season. Residents of Andrew Hall and Bernardine Hall may park overnight in the Andrew Hall Lot provided that their vehicles are moved to Lot "A" during storm conditions and until the lots have been plowed after a storm.

If vehicles are left in any parking lot other than Lot "A" during snow storms or before snow removal is complete, the vehicle will be towed at the owner's expense . Facilities Management appreciates your co-operation to ensure parking lots are cleared safely. If you have any questions or concerns regarding winter parking please contact Mark Pharand.

Various municipalities in Canada have developed legislation to address public safety concerns about dogs that bite. Speakers at this workshop will discuss problems associated with legislation that bans specific breeds and provide information on alternative approaches to the issue of dangerous dogs. The workshop will offer information on identifying dangerous dogs, risk factors for dog bites, the effectiveness of interventions, and the impact of breed鈥搒pecific legislation on dogs and humane societies.

Calling all singers! The 69传媒Multicultural Choir and Song Circle will be meeting Tuesday, November 29th, from 4:30 to 5:30pm in the Robertson Library Building, in the basement, room 103. This area is also accessible by an elevator, if needed (call Hailey 鈥� see below). The multicultural choir is in its 6th year, and is a non-audition, open, free and fun activity which brings people from campus and the community together, sharing songs from cultures all around the world!

Notice from the Comptroller's Office - Revised Spending Authority Policy

The University's Spending Authority Policy has been revised following approval by the Board of Governors. These revisions include changes to the spending authority limits for some individuals. The 69传媒Wind Symphony will perform its final recital of the Fall semester on Friday, November 25 at 7:30 pm at Park Royal United Church in Charlottetown. With performances in recent years at local Churches 鈥� Saint Dunstan鈥檚 Basilica and Zion Presbyterian 鈥� the Wind Symphony is continuing a tradition of performing beyond campus. The exceptional acoustics of Park Royal will make this performance memorable, and the seating capacity will allow for all Wind Symphony supporters to attend.

Tickets for this performance at $15 Adults/Seniors and $10 Students may be acquired at the 69传媒Music Department and at the admission鈥檚 desk the evening of the recital.

There will be a shutdown of domestic hot and cold water at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre on Saturday, November 26th beginning at 6:00am. The shutdown is expected to last for approximately 4 hours. This shutdown is necessary to do repairs to the main water line in the building.

Kevin Robinson takes on the role of Health and Safety Manager at 69传媒on December 5. Among other things, the Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, advising, and on-going evaluation of Occupational Health and Safety policies, programs. and practices. 

Robinson comes to 69传媒from the Hebron Project in Bull Arm, NL, where he was KKC-GBS Safety Coordinator. He previously worked for Pardy鈥檚 Waste Management and Industrial Services, Accucaps Industries, and Horizon Health Network.
