PEI Energy Systems has notified Facilities Management that they have discovered a leak in the chilled water lines. These chillers provide cooling for the Atlantic Veterinary College, Robertson Library, Kelley Memorial Building, Duffy Science Centre, Steel Building, and the Health Sciences Building. 

PEI Energy Systems is working on the repairs necessary to have the chillers back up and running as quickly as possible, however, it is not anticipated to be back up and running until the beginning of next week.

Bids are being accepted in the University's e-tendering portal Bonfire until May 28, 2021 at 2:00pm.  This portal requires you to register by creating a username and password as your 69传媒credentials are not connected to this system. The Health Centred Research Clinic at 69传媒is offering a Chronic Disease Self-Management program for any 69传媒Staff or Faculty that have been diagnosed with a chronic condition for at least one year or longer.

The program will consist of weekly group exercise and education sessions at the Health Centred Research Clinic located in the lower level of the Steel Building.  In order to participate individuals must be currently employed by the 69传媒 either permanently, or a contract lasting for the duration of the program and have been diagnosed with a chronic condition for at least one year or longer.

If you are interested in learning more about this program, we will be hosting a 20-minute information Session Thursday, May 20 at 12:00 pm online. If interested please contact Program Coordinator, Laurie Michael, at lmichael@upei.ca to receive the link on how to access the virtual information session.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Ethics protocols that involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥 must be reviewed by the full 69传媒Research Ethics Board (REB).  The next deadline for submitting these protocols is Friday May 28, 2021.

Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥, renewals, and amendments may be submitted at any time. They will be sent for delegated review as soon as all necessary forms are received.

All research compliance applications, including Research Ethics Board application forms, must be submitted through the Researcher Portal. This online system is paired with electronic approvals to replace the hard-copy signatures process.
